Chief Consultant, Heather Atherton

Heather Atherton still loves inspiring media and influencers to get excited about what her clients do, 20 year into her PR career. Having cut her teeth at Ketchum and other agencies before opening her own shop in 2003, she understands what makes a story newsworthy. Her passion for media strategy and outreach is palpable and has led her to work with creative clients in many industries. She also has proven additional talents in developing strategic marketing partnerships and product placement in a major Hollywood movie. She has provided PR strategy and outreach for many brands in industries such as food/beverage, spirits (Tequila), restaurant (quick serve, high end, fast, franchise), entertainment (movies/film, comic cons, product placement, crowdfunding campaign PR, celebrity media tours).  Though her expertise in media event management, she helped nationally renowned movie critic, Mark S. Allen, win a Guinness Book World Record. She was part of a PR team with Ketchum that received the Public Relations Society of America’s prestigious Silver Anvil Award. She has also set up media tours for many celebrities and notables including: Michael Rooker, Lou Ferrigno, Kevin Smith & Jason Mewes, Sean Patrick Flanery, Henry Winkler, Astronaut Stephen Robinson and various other actors, artists, filmmakers and authors. Films are a passion of hers so attending the Sundance Film Festival has become a tradition in recent years. She is also a Mission Mom and passionate volunteer for the March of Dimes.
