About Us

Heather Atherton is a communications strategist and media outreach specialist. With more than 25 years of experience, she specializes in corporate as well as product PR Atherton helps businesses rise to the next level among their most important influencer groups. Much of her client focus has been in the film and entertainment industry, both locally and nationally, having promoted live events and film for most of her career.

Heather has represented clients in various industries with one consistent focus: helping her clients gain the respect and attention that they deserve from the media and other influencers. She has had extensive success promoting clients in the greater Sacramento region as well as beyond to a national audience. Throughout her career, she has been based in the Sacramento region, working for various agencies and becoming a solo consultant in 2003. She has worked with media in about two dozen cities across the country, including TV affiliates, daily and weekly publications, various business and consumer magazines, bloggers, and radio reporters. She has also worked with hundreds of influencers across those U.S. cities.

Heather has developed and managed PR campaigns for major organizations including Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain, Hard Rock Live Sacramento, IMAX, The Lincoln Potters Baseball Club, Feld Entertainment, City Experiences/City Cruises, Venardos Circus, Wizard World Comic Cons, Sacramento International Airport, Quarry Park Adventures, Robert Craig Films, Cordillera Int’l Film Festival in Reno-Tahoe, Visit Placer, HINODE Rice, Posh Puppy Boutique, and many more.

Heather is a Sacramento State alumnus, where she received her degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. She was the recipient of a PRSA Silver Anvil award while working for global agency, Ketchum.
